My goal is to complete all of my studies by next winter, and graduate with a Bachelors in Business Management with a minor in Economics. I am participating in Marketing 208. I want to apologize to all of the students in my class as well as the teacher for missing the first night of class. I do not forsee this occuring anytime in the near future.

Marketing is a concept that I believe that everyone should master. Reason being, is that on a daily basis, we as individuals have to market ourselves in one form or another. Ex. Lets stay that you’re applying for a job. What you must do during the interviewing process is sell the company on all of your assets that would make you a valuable employee. Therefore, it would be in their best interest to hire you based on the marketing plan of self that you have presented.

My name is Julio, I am a “Baby Boomer”, and I am proud of it. I guess I’m also the oldest in the class. Sometime my opinions are very strong and opinionated. This is because I have experienced a lot in life and have seen a lot. I have been around the world from Europe to Asia to South America. A lot of people bad mouth the United States and what we stand for, but when you are overseas and see how the rest of the world lives, you see why people from all over the world are dying to come to this country; a country where you are free.
I have gone back to school to accomplish a personal goal, and that is to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree. This is something I started in 1971 and due to work and family matters I had to stop after I got my Associate’s Degree from TCC. I guess I am classified as a junior, here at Northwood.
My life and work experiences have been working in the aviation industry. After completing a tour of duty in Vietnam in 1968 as a helicopter gunner with the US Army, I worked with Lockheed, DynCorp, Corporate Jets, and Raytheon. For the last 9 years, I have worked at Bell Helicopter as an engineer. While working for these large corporations, I had the opportunity to get involved with some great projects, such as the Space Shuttle, which was my favorite program, the F-15 Eagle, the C5B Galaxy, the Huey Helicopter, the L1011 Tri-Star Jetliner and the V-22 Osprey. These are just a few and are also my favorites.
I plan to retire in three years. I don’t want to stop working, but want to do something that I really enjoy, such as opening a small store specializing in framing pictures and selling picture frames. I also want to do some traveling with my wife, but not on an RV, that is not our style.
